講演について
アナン国際連合事務総長に名誉博士号授与
5月18日、安田講堂においてコフィ・アナン国際連合事務総長をお迎えし、名誉博士称号授与及び記念講演会が開催されました。
名誉博士号授与式では、古田理事・副学長によるアナン国連事務総長の功績紹介に続き、小宮山総長からアナン国連事務総長に名誉博士記及び記念品が授与されました。
小宮山総長の挨拶、ヒンケル国際連合大学長の祝辞に引き続き、アナン国際連合事務総長による記念講演が行われました。授与式及び講演会には学内外から約1,100名の参加者がありました。
Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi A. Annan is awarded an honorary doctorate
On May 18th in the University of Tokyo’s Yasuda Auditorium, a ceremony and commemorative lecture took place to award an honorary doctorate to Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi A. Annan.
At the presentation ceremony, Executive Vice-President Furuta made a speech marking the distinguished achievements of the Secretary-General, following which University of Tokyo President Komiyama presented Mr. Annan with a certificate and commemorative gift. After President Komiyama’s greeting and a congratulatory address from Rector of the United Nations University Hans van Ginkel, the Secretary-General gave a commemorative lecture.
About 1100 people from both within and without the university attended the ceremony and lecture. |
